By

I had no clue what I was getting into when I began reading but by the end I was addicted to this story. I will warn you that it does leave you in a pretty intense cliff hanger, one that made me want to scream and beg for this not to end here. The writing style is smooth and descriptive, with great character development, making the reader feel they are right there in the story experiencing every emotion that flows throughout the book.

Ivy has no idea who her parents are; she was just very thankful that Bernie and Helen took her in and raised her to become the woman she is today. Going back to work after a few months off, she is dealing with scar on her body that we still don’t know much about, a failed engagement to a man that was up to no good, and still dealing with body image issues from her time before she lost a lot of weight. She is now working for her Uncle in his plastic surgery office and will come face to face with Dr. Jordan, a man who will turn her world upside down and expose her to more than lust and love; he will be saving her from the dark world of gangs.

Dr. Jacade Jordan is one of the sexiest alpha men I have read about in a long while. While control is on his priority list, I love how he knows what Ivy needs before she even does and his love and desire for her goes back years before she even knew he was alive. He has a dark past, secrets he is keeping from Ivy that we will more than likely find out as the series goes on. One thing for you can count on is he is a walking, talking sex God who is protective of those he loves and goes after whatever he wants.

This story is laced with suspense, passion, thrill and humor. Ivy is a strong woman who says what she thinks even when the timing isn’t right. She goes through life with her devil and angel on her shoulders named Slut Ivy, who tends to lead her into situations that leave her breathless and in trouble and Feminist Ivy who fights hard to keep Ivy independent, virtuous and on the right path. Needless to say Feminist Ivy rarely wins the debate when Dr. Jordan is involved.

There are a lot of secrets in this story that we haven’t uncovered and the history of Ivy’s uncle will play a huge part in the future. I was sucked into this story from the elevator scene at the beginning till the very end where I was left screaming for more. The twists and turns the author has created in this plot are amazing and leave you thinking you can predict what is going to happen but more than likely you find you were totally wrong. It is an edge of the seat, change the panties often kind of story with two characters you can’t help but fall in love with. I have become a huge fan of this author and can hardly wait to read the rest of this series.

Character Interview REVIVAL by @MKGilher

SI= Slut Ivy
FI= Feminist Ivy
J= Jacade

SI and FI have cornered J at a party.

SI= (sauntering up to J at the party) Well hello there...
FI= Oh stop it (slapping SI in the arm).
J= (chuckling) Hello, ladies. I was wondering when you’d track me down. How are you both this evening?
SI= (racking eyes over J) Much better now.
FI= (glaring at SI then whispering to her) Can you hold it together for this interview or not? We have a job to do.
SI= (whispering back to FI) He can hold me together...
FI= (rolling eyes) Can we ask you a few questions for the fans?
J= (grinning) Of course. Anything for you ladies.
SI= (muttering) Anything? Imagine the possibilities.
FI= (clearing her throat and pulling out her phone to record) Okay, Dr. Jordan. Let’s get started.
J= (Unbuttoning his suit jacket) Please, call me Jacade.
SI= (biting bottom lip) Can I scream it instead?
J= (laughing and taking a sip of his scotch on the rocks) I hope you do.
FI= (looking up at the ceiling) You’ve got to be kidding me...
FI= (sighing at both of them) Anyway... the first thing all the fans want to know, when is the next book coming out?
J= You’ll have to confirm with M.K. but I believe it’s August 2015.
FI= Are you excited for the Book Two release?
J= Yes, I am. It’s strange to have your life put down in words for everyone to read, but our story is pretty epic. So, I understand the attraction.
SI= (twirling a piece of her hair and gawking at J) Me too.
FI= What’s with your rivalry with Viktor?
J= (placing a hand in his pocket) Our rivalry has grown over the years. There’s no way I could get through it in our short time frame here.
FI= Could you give us a little idea?
J= Sure. Viktor and I have always had conflicting values. I guess it’s more that I have morals and he doesn’t.
SI= (blurting out quickly) Have you ever been a Dom?
FI= (looking at SI) Oh my god, seriously?
J= (laughing) Wouldn’t you like to know...
SI= I would!
J= (his tongue darting out to wet his lips) Mmmm.
FI= Getting back on track here, what--
SI= What would you tie us up with?
FI= Hey! We have questions to get through! That question is not one of them.
J= Whatever I wanted to.
FI= What do you look for in a woman?
J= A sense of humor, strength, and intelligence. And damn, I’m a sucker for some serious curves on a woman (shaking his head slowly, his dimple appearing).
SI= (hitting FI in the arm and muttering) Did you see that adorable dimple? I’m wet and dripping onto the floor. Grab me a napkin.
FI= (whispering to SI) He’s standing right in front of you, moron. Even if you speak your thoughts quietly, he can still hear you.
SI= No, he can’t.
J= (pulling his handkerchief out of his suit jacket and handing it to SI) Yes, he can.
SI= (blushing) Oops. My bad.
SI= Wait... is this the same handkerchief that you used on Ivy?
J= (leans in and whispers) Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t (winks and takes a sip of his scotch).

The Elevator Scene Chapter 2 of REVIVAL, erotic romance by @MKGilher

I push through the revolving glass doors and enter the impressive high-rise Jackson Building. Sleek steel fixtures combined with white accent furniture really do tell a person the rent is high. Uncle Bernie knew his clientele would need the assurance of money and power, and as far as I was concerned, this lobby did just that. I scan my badge with security and head in the direction of the multiple, chrome-plated elevators.

When the elevator arrives, I use proper etiquette and shuffle toward the back. I maneuver my way as close to the rear of the elevator as I can, trying not to disturb the row of people already there. I swivel around toward the front and watch the last few people bobble in like eager sardines.

The elevator doors shut and the up arrow turns green as a ping penetrates the awkward silence of our enclosure. I feel a moment of weightlessness as the floor lurches upward. A smile creeps across my face as "Motivation" by Kelly Rowland shuffles over. Thank god no one can hear my music right now, because it's a dirty little song and I love every minute of it.

I look down at my phone to check the time. Jeez, this elevator. Come on, come on… I should've taken the stairs for some exercise. But instead, I'm stuck in the back of this slow moving elevator. Smart thinking, moron. You're going to be late.

I look down between my feet and notice a sleek pair of men's black Italian leather shoes behind me. Wow. Those are some nice shoes. Maybe a size 13? Size 14? My mouth waters as I remember what they say about men with big feet. Oh, you need to get laid, Summers.

The stranger's presence oozes affluence, power, and arrogance, just from wearing those thick-stitched leather shoes. Get it together, Summers. You've only seen his shoes. You're totally losing it.

Maybe I should turn around? But once I see him, I may turn into a giant puddle of horny goo. For all I know, he could look like a hobbit or an ogre or some other disturbing imaginary creature from a land far, far away.

As I muster up the guts to turn around, the doors slide open and more passengers enter the elevator. I can't believe how many people are trying to jam into this elevator just to avoid a little exercise. Well, I guess I did too, but that's not the point.

I'm feeling claustrophobic. I wish I could just yell, Get off this elevator and take the dang stairs, people! Since I can't, because it'd be rude, I close my eyes and picture a beach with loud crashing waves. I breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth. A little better. And again. Okay, much better.

I open my eyes just as the last couple of people turn to their sides and scuffle their way onto the elevator. The ripple effect forces me backward, pushing my bottom right into the Italian-shoed stranger.

Well, this is a great first day back, Summers. You're gonna be late, have a panic attack, and rub yourself up against a stranger with gorgeous shoes. Perfect. There should definitely be laws preventing me from leaving my apartment on certain days.

I hear a weird creaking noise and the lights flicker. I'm jostled about before the elevator jerks to a halt in mid-flight and the lights go out. My fellow elevator patrons gasp and grumble. Random lights appear as people pull out their cellphones. In the commotion of the crowded elevator, I'm heaved back onto my Italian-shoed stranger even more. I feel strong hands wrap around my hips. I'm so close I can feel his chest rising and falling on my back.

Oh. Sweet. Jesus.

I can't fucking breathe. I can't fucking breathe.

His breath is steady and calm on my neck, almost as if he's enjoying watching me struggle for my self-control. The cat pinning the mouse down by the tail as the mouse struggles to get away.

Should I pull away from him? The Slut Ivy on my right shoulder rolls her eyes and says, Duh, no silly. Stay right where you are. The Feminist Ivy on my left shoulder is scowling at me. Just get your ass to work on time, woman. The truth is I couldn't move an inch even if I wanted to. Which I don't.

Time seems to have stopped. All I know is he's holding me to the heat of his massive male frame. I can't stop the images of this stranger's tongue casually licking its way down my entire body. I haven't even seen this man. But I am a shoe whore, and his shoes were fabulous.

I feel an uncontrollable electrical pull toward him. Synapses are firing between our bodies creating sparks that would light up even the darkest of nights.

He intensifies his hold on my left hipbone, his fingers digging in, while his other hand drifts up my back to my right ear. He softly pulls on the cord to my earbud, and all I can concentrate on is his warm, ragged breath on my neck.

He leans in close to my ear, and I hear a sucking sound. What the hell? I feel a warm sensation as he trails the tip of his wet finger from my shoulder up to my right earlobe.

Holy shit.

My breath catches, and a low chuckle vibrates against my skin. Prick. I smile to myself for mentally insulting him. He flexes his fingers and glides his large palm across my cashmere-covered abdomen and presses lightly on my belly. He's trying to help me slow my breathing. Bringing me back to the present… with him.

Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.

He pushes on my abdomen and forces my backside right onto his rock hard erection. Just kill me now. I'm good. I could totally write my obituary after this experience. Dead from feeling Italian-shoed stranger's erection against my ass. What a great way to go.

I can feel his breathing speed up just below my right earlobe, matching mine. Is he just as affected as I am? He reaches for my right wrist and pins it behind me on my lower back. Great, now I can feel his rippling hard abs along with his swelling erection. His grip is arduous, strong, and unforgiving. But damn, does it feel good. Like home… with apple pie baking in the oven.

The elevator jolts as if we're all on a roller coaster ride. His hold deepens around me, bringing me relief and comfort. I must be insane to think he's bringing me relief and comfort. I'm in this pitch-black elevator, stuck on god knows what floor, and I'm having an erogenous affair with a stranger. Yet, somehow, my soul knows I'm safe in his arms. It's nothing like I ever felt with Kevin or any of the others before him. The lights flicker again, but remain off, leaving me to wonder if I'm in a dream. A sweet dream I hope I never wake from. Just induce this coma, please. Thanks doc, I won't be needing to call you in the morning.

He uses his foot to part my feet and pushes one leg between mine. His sturdy thigh nudges against my bottom. He gathers my hair and moves it to my right side, baring the left side of my neck and my left shoulder. Thank you, cashmere tunic. He runs a fingertip from my ear, over my clavicle, to my upper arm, and I'm done for. This is how I'm going to die. Yep, this is it. Just put me out of my misery, please.

A ping fills the dark space and the emergency lights flicker on. The elevator lurches upward and the passengers sigh in relief. We come to a stop again, and the doors open to a landing full of building security. I have no idea what floor I'm on or what the hell my name is. All I know is this stranger still has me powerfully imprisoned up against him. He lets go of my hair, and I hear a sharp intake of air next to my right earlobe.

He hisses, "I love that fucking song," and pops my right earbud back in. The strong hold around my abdomen vanishes.

Reviews of the M/M Fantasy/Adventure Romance Ghost's Dilemma by Morwen Navarre @bronxwench

While the beauty of the story and writing was clear, once I was done I felt like I had read a classic, full of beauty, love and strong messages about life, personality and the value of humans.

Magical, intense at times, fast paced and fascinating

  Solid world and solider couple by Bucolic watcher
February 21, 2015
This is a good follow-up to the previous story and stronger in many ways, showing a bit how relationships can be tested without the obviously violent loon. The world feels more solid and even short scenes, like the older, ill couple, were gripping. A couple of the secondary characters I suspect could carry their own stories in this world, too; they seem so engaging.

This story clearly starred Ghost far, far more then Gerry, he has far more growth and discovery. Their affections are very strong and I enjoyed how they recovered from their misunderstandings.

Still I would like to see the story pick up in the summer and follow up some interesting loose ends in a third.
Wonderful read by T London

February 20, 2015 - Amazon Review
I didn’t read the first book in this collection and I feel I would have gained more from the overall story if I had but I don’t feel it took away from the beauty in book 2 as both Ghost and Gerry are strong male characters who are not afraid of love and show their emotions.

Gerry is Ghost alpha and protector. Ghost has taken over the healing of the community using his witch craft and visions that he gets. Sometimes the visions come in riddles that he must decipher and make sense of. When confronted with a situation that will affect the people in his community he must figure out the answers that will rest in only what he can see and what he knows.

This is a story of m/m love but it goes past just the sex, these men are committed to each other in ways that can rarely be seen in relationships today. They support each other and have taken the vows of being protector and the protected. While Gerry will want to rush in and take care of what threatens Ghost, he trust in the man he loves enough to allow Ghost to do what he needs to do in his role as healer.

The writing style is not of the modern age, it felt as if the scenes were a mixture of the past and the future all weaved into one time frame which gave this story a unique and romantic feel as you read it. While the beauty of the story and writing was clear, once I was done I felt like I had read a classic, full of beauty, love and strong messages about life, personality and the value of humans. I am not normally a fan of this genre but I am very thankful I was offered a chance to read this book. It touched my heart and soul and I don’t think I will forget Ghost and Gerry any time soon.
With this novel, Morwen Navarre builds upon the world she created when we first met Ghost and the Witch, and she does not disappoint.

With this novel, Morwen Navarre builds upon the world she created when we first met Ghost and the Witch, and she does not disappoint.

As you read, you can't help but feel there are other stories around every corner, just waiting to be told. Ghost himself comes upon one or two of them on his travels. And, like the world he inhabits, Ghost has grown and matured as a character. Set a short time after the first, we get to see him fulfilling his new role in the community where he lives with his Alpha, Gerry.

I won't write any spoilers in this review, but I will say that this series of stories is for you whether you like romance, sci-fi, adventure or fantasy. It's imaginative, mysterious, and most of all unique. You don't need to have read the first book to enjoy this, but you may well find yourself seeking it out afterwards.

As a reader, I can't draw a convenient line to say where the future ends, and where the dark ages begin anew. It is a full and richly textured canon that leaves you wanting to know more, and I really hope there will be many more books in this series.

Brilliant storytelling, and the well written love scenes between Ghost and Gerry are the icing on top.

I really enjoyed reading about Ghost, a witch and healer, and Gerry, his Alpha. These two seemed to be a great couple. I only wish I had read the first book, as I was confused about some things that were mentioned in the book.

Intriguing story that grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps it to the end. Ghost tries to stop a plague from killing his people. There are dangers everywhere and he has to figure out who he can trust while also finding a cure.

Magical, intense at times, fast paced and fascinating. I really enjoyed this magical world setting. It was both intriguing and fascinating the more I read. Very well written.

Great read.

Blurb

"You blush and you growl. I want to keep you like you are just then. All smooth, bare skin and pink cheeks. Your eyes shining up at me brighter than your witchmark."
Ghost is content to spend all his free time in bed with Gerry. But scandal and hate surrounding Ghost's appointment as the first male witch and a deadly epidemic force Ghost to make choices that might cost him Gerry's love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh Doctor... tourniquets have a new meaning..., February 8, 2015
I loved this book. Did not want to put it down. Ivy has had a hard life and it just keeps getting harder, Jacade is a plastic surgeon who has secrets he does not want Ivy to know. I got so lost in the story that when I got to the end I just sat there.... Like a really good movie you don't want to get up yet. I recommend this story to all readers who love an edgy story with real feelings, oh and HOT sex. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Jacade Jordan: The steamy bad boy plastic surgeon., February 2, 2015

I have had this book on my to read list for a while and I just finished reading it. I don't know what took me so long to read this book!! It was amazing, from beginning to end. I was pulled in from the beginning. You will fall in love with Dr. Jordan and his smooth ways. And, Ivy will keep you on your toes with her smart mouth. I love that this is a dual POV book. You know what each is thinking, when and all of the things that are going on in their heads. There is a lot of humor in through out the book that will keep you turning the pages. These two have so much chemistry it seems to ooze off the page.

Dr. Jordan is the bad boy from the wrong side of the town, but has become a successful doctor along with Ivy's Uncle Bernie and Aunt Helen. He know's what he wants and he wants Ivy. He has known that he has wanted her for the last three years since that fateful day. Ivy has her own life with her own friends. She also has a history that starts to unfold throughout the book.

M.K. has a lot of personality in this book and there is never a dull moment. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Don't miss this book!!

Oh M. K. did an awesome job on this. I so love Jacade. I now know what is meant by a book boyfriend. This story makes you laugh, cry, hold your breath and need a lot of colds showers.
I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy.
